Access Construction AyrshireAccess Construction Ayrshire is delivered by Aspire2gether on behalf of four local housing associations, including Irvine Housing Association. The initiative enables individuals who are close to job-ready to apply for a job in the construction industry with a training commitment. Employment can be as an apprentice, trainee labourer or trainee administrator. An independent evaluation of the scheme highlighted the success of the programme in helping to create additional, sustainable, high quality jobs in construction for local people who would not have got these jobs otherwise. It is hoped to secure a further 5 training places this year and 10 next year.
