Mr Alan West (Chair) (Finance and Executive Services Committee Chair)

Appointed to the Board in July 2008.  Appointed as Chair in September 2011.  Following a distinguished career as a corporate banker, Mr West brings with him key skills in debt and equity restructuring, credit and relationship management with a keen knowledge of the Housing Association world in particular. Mr West is on the Board under the Business, Professional and Technical Representative category.

 

Mr Thomas Farrell JP

 

Appointed to the Board in February 2004. Appointed Chair in August 2006 and stepped down in September 2011.  Retired businessman. Former local elected member for Strathclyde Regional Council and its Chair of Education for several years before the demise of the Regional Council. Former East Ayrshire Council Member representing Drongan, Stair and Rankinston. Mr Farrell is on the Board under the Community Representative category.

Mrs Caroline Durkan

Appointed to the Board in May 2009. Business Development Manager for the Scottish Qualifications Authority.  Mrs Durkan previously worked as a Business Development Manager for Scottish Enterprise from 1991-2008.  She brings with her business and marketing experience.  Mrs Durkan currently volunteers for the Stella mares Youth Group. Mrs Durkan is on the Board under the Business, Professional and Technical Representative category.

Miss Fiona Dunlop

Appointed to the Board in December 2006. Head Teacher of Gateside Primary School. Miss Dunlop is on the Board under the Business, Professional and Technical Representative category.

Mrs Moira Miller

Appointed to the Board in February 2004. Involved closely with the tenant movement in Drongan for over 10 years. Was part of the Steering Group set up to guide the creation of Coylebank Tenants Co-operative and has served as its Chairperson since 1999. Mrs Miller is on the Board under the Tenant Representative category.

Mr Billy Dickson (Audit and Risk Committee Chair)

Appointed to the Board in July 2008. An experienced local accountant and manager with his own accountancy and business advisory practice providing financial, tax planning and management accountancy expertise to an extensive client base throughout the UK. Mr Dickson is on the Board under the Business, Professional and Technical Representative category.

Mr Robert Sturgeon (Operations Committee Chair)

Appointed to the Board in December 2006. A Projects Co-ordinator at the Fullarton Community Health House. A co-opted member of the Stanecastle School Board and Secretary of the Fullarton Community Association. Mr Sturgeon is on the Board under the Community Representative category.

Mr Cameron Sharp

Appointed to the Board in June 2010. Country Parks Manager for North Ayrshire Council focusing on Environmental Education, Habitat Surveying and Monitoring, Resource Protection and Conservation.  Mr Sharp joined Irvine Development Corporation in 1992 as a Countryside Ranger and was promoted to his current role within Eglinton Country Park in 2006.  Mr Sharp brings with him practical management, sustainability, interpretive and community involvement skills and is on the Board under the Tenant Representative category.  

Mrs Kathleen Gatherer

Appointed to the Board in August 2010.  Formerly a nurse with over 20 years experience.  Currently a volunteer with the Scottish Domestic Abuse Helpline.  Mrs Gatherer is on the Board under the Tenant Representative category.

Mr Chris Bell

Appointed to the Board in April 2011. A freelance consultant in Horticulture and Agronomy.  Mr Bell is on the Board under the Tenant Representative category.

Mr Gerry Lindsay

Mr Duncan McEachran
