General Outline of IHA Structure

Irvine Housing Association is run by a voluntary Board comprising of 1/3 tenants, 1/3 community representatives and 1/3 business, professional and technical representatives. The Board are also members of the Association and are elected at the our Annual General Meeting. Membership of the Association is open to individuals within the three categories mentioned above.

The full Board meets every two months and has overall control of the Association’s affairs and is responsible for the policies of the organisation.  The Board operates three sub-committees - Finance and Executive Services; Audit and Risk; and Operations.

The Managing Director leads the Association's Management Team, that comprises of an Executive Director (Resources),  an Executive Director (Operations) and department managers.

Our staff team are responsible for the day-to-day business of the Association and are committed to providing quality services to our customers.  Our staff have have been trained the internationally-acclaimed Mary Gober Customer Service style and have accrediations including a 1* status in the Sunday Times 'Best Companies To Work For' and Investors In People.

Our head office is situated in Irvine. Two local offices operate in Dumfries and Drongan. Irvine is a 40 minute drive from Glasgow City Centre and Glasgow International Airport and only 15 minutes from Glasgow Prestwick International Airport.
